Hello Joe,
If you meet our client requirements, the minimum for a managed account is $250,000. All transactions are cleared through Peregrine Financial Group (PFG) in Chicago. Funds are held in a customer segregated account at JP Morgan Chase Bank. To get the full information on managed account packages, you can request an Option Seller Information Pack Free on the website.

Hi Jim, I’ve heard you say several times that 82% of options will expire worthless. Can you tell me where this statistic comes from and what options it applies to. It seems that when a new month of options starts trading, some will be closed by trading prior to expiration, some will become expire worthless, some will be exercised prior to expiration, and some will be exercised at expiration. What category is that 82%. Please clear this up for me. Thank you.
Hello Stan,
This figure was cited by the CME several years ago and applies to options at expiration time. Thus, at expiration, 82% of the options will expire worthless, which means out of the money. If you limit yourself to selling options that are already deep out of the money, your odds of worthless expiration can increase substantially. Thanks, James
